Our story...
The Hannah House was built in 1858 by a prominent businessman by the name of Alexander Hannah. Alexander was born in Wayne County, and was a harness maker by trade, but obtained most of his wealth during the California Gold Rush. He returned to Indianapolis and purchased 300 acres of land from his father, Samuel Hannah, to build the Hannah House. Alexander was in his early 50s when he married Elizabeth Jackson, and they had one child that lived only a few days. He passed away in 1895 and his foreman managed the house for the next four years. The house was then sold to a German immigrant, Roman Oehler, in 1899. Mr. Oehler was a watch maker by trade and owned a store in downtown Indianapolis on Washington Street.
The descendents of Mr. Oehler still own the home today.

And we offer OPEN house tours for the historical buff!
Rental Venue:
Your rental allows you access to the entire house and grounds. Decorating is allowed. We have no restrictions on caterers, and you're allowed to bring your own food. You will have access to our kitchen that includes two refrigerators and a range.
Our rental rate is $150/hour (minimum of 4 hours), and we will book up to 11 pm.
(Hours booked are consecutive.) A $200 nonrefundable deposit holds your booking. Balance is due 10 days prior to your scheduled date.

Paranormal Investigations:
Our paranormal investigations are a truly unique experience, as the Hannah House is considered one of the most haunted locations in Indiana. Book your investigation at the Hannah House, and discover the mysteries that lie within our haunted halls.
Our investigation hours are from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. Cost is $500 for the night for 10 people. Each additional person is $50. Any additional time is $100/hour.
A $250 deposit holds your date, and balance is due 10 days prior to your booked investigation.
Historical Tours:
Our OPEN house, historical tours of the Hannah House, are held on the first Sunday of every month from 1-4:00 pm.
